I think loving your space is so important, whether that’s your home, your dorm room, or even your small desk at work. I’m a person who thrives in well-decorated environment, which is predominantly where my love of interiors comes from. For those of you who aren’t following me on Instagram, you won’t know that I’ve recently moved country (and house, duh), which means I get a brand new space to decorate! I’m still living with my parents so my interior abilities have limited jurisdiction, but I’m still really excited to be able to decorate my new bedroom.
The furniture that I currently have comes from the Hemnes line at IKEA: it’s all plain white and very basic, which I love. When it comes to interiors, I’m a big believer in keeping your staple furniture pieces neutral so you can go crazy with the decor and change it up often without spending too much.
The look of my last room was very white and clean, and this time, I’d like to add some color. My pallet is based around whites, light and dark greys, and blush pinks. I’m going for a comfy, city vibe, which means I’m going to be adding a lot of texture in my new room and pairing them with symmetrical lines.
To help you visualize what I have in mind, I collected some images on good old Pinterest and created a moodboard out of them!
What do you think? I’d like to update you guys on my progress to making my room look like this, from telling you about my best bargains to sharing any interior epiphanies I have. If that’s something you’d be interested in, definitely let me know!
