Hey, remember me?
It’s been a minute (or two, or several thousand) since I’ve blogged and I’m not going to lie – I’ve missed it. But now that I’ve graduated university and don’t have much else to do with my life, I’ve decided to get back into the blog hustle. I hope to post once a week to begin with, and then we can take it from there!
Since it’s been a while, I thought it would be nice to come back with a few factoids about yours truly. If you’re new here: hello! I’m so excited to have you, and I hope you enjoy having a little looksie around on all my socials.
01. I love coffee.
I know that’s such a trendy thing to say and I’m not special but my story is that my love for it been passed down by my mom. She was always a coffee drinker and I remember her sitting down with a magazine every evening sipping on a cuppa. It’s one of my favorite memories of her.
02. I have two adorable cats.
One is called Boki (also known as Picky-Picky) and the other is Patchi. They are both literally like my babies and I love them to bits. I honestly can’t stay away from them for more than a few hours!
03. I’m very close to my family.
Namely my immediate family, my grandparents, and my aunt. Not only are they the most caring and supportive people ever, but we also have the same sense of humor. The definition of a great Sunday night for me would be staying in and gossiping with my mom and my aunt over a Chinese take-out.
04. I just graduated university last week…
…and have no idea where to start. I have a lot of plans and ideas in my head but I feel like I need someone to tell me what to do and how to do it.
05. I’m an extroverted introvert.
I can be shy and self-conscious around people but once I get past that, I could talk and socialize for hours and hours.
06. That being said, I’m really picky with my friends.
I have a lot of acquaintances but I could count my close friends on one hand, and these friends mean everything to me.
07. I am a huge stationary collector.
AND I have an extra-soft spot for notebooks. I have so many empty ones sitting in my desk that I don’t know what to do with them – hit me up if you have any ideas!
08. I’m not the sportiest person.
That being said, my favorite forms of physical activity are riding a bike, rollerblading, hiking, dancing/Zumba, and – weirdly enough – kayaking. I really want to get into tennis too.
09. I’m a bit of a neat freak.
I can’t focus on things if my surroundings aren’t exactly how I like them. I really enjoy cleaning and tidying and there’s nothing more satisfying than a clean room that smells like scented candles.
10. Speaking of scented candles, I love them!
My favorite ever is Flannel by Bath & Body Works. It literally smells like a hot guy and I’m obsessed with it. *heart eyes forever*
Tell me a fun fact about you!
I had been struggling a bit with writing today’s post because I couldn’t decide what I wanted to write about. So I did what I always do at times like these: I looked around at other blogs for inspiration. Through web-surfing I came across the beautiful Tenneil and thoroughly enjoyed reading herRead more >
This time last week, I was crammed in an airplane seat on the way to what is known as the City of Dreams. Now I’m back home with little gold elephant trinkets and memories to last me a lifetime. I was fortunate enough to be able to spend a weekRead more >
The air is slowly turning crisper, the freckles on our faces are beginning to fade, and sightings of yellow buses and stationary sales are becoming more abundant, which means one thing and one thing only…back to school! I remember being younger and feeling this weird mix of both anticipation andRead more >
Since it’s officially been one-and-a-half whole months since I started blogging (woohoo!), I decided to sit down today and share my thoughts on the whole shebang. I got this idea from one of my favorite bloggers, The Blissful Mind, and I loved reading what she had to say, so IRead more >
Hidden in a little basement in the heart of Salmiya is one of the jewels of Kuwait. This little space is probably my favorite in the entire country. Discovered accidently on a lazy September afternoon two years ago, I fell in love with Better Books the minute I lay my eyesRead more >
July. Dragged. On. I remember writing my July Goals blog post back on my old blog and being super excited for the month, but now that it’s over, all I’m thinking is good riddance. It’s not like the month was bad or anything. It’s more that time was moving way tooRead more >
One of the main reasons I decided to start a blog is because I love photography. I love how much pictures can set the tone of a website. If you have a black-and-white feed, you come off as artistic. Super colorful and saturated photos mirror excitement and energy. Pictures withRead more >
